Read the instructions on the wallpaper paste that you have purchased. Add the appropriate amount of cold water to the clean bucket.

Take 2 feet of string and tie it to the plastic on one side of the bucket where the handle is attached. Pull the string taut and repeat this step on the other side of the bucket. This piece of string will aid you in cleaning of the wooden batten while mixing the paste.
