Hanging pictures on your walls in your home can add a nice touch to your home decor. There are various ways to arrange and hang pictures, and one style of decoration is forming the pictures into greater works of art. The resulting collage effect might tell stories about your life. There are just a few simple steps that you should follow to create a wall of picture frames.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photographs
  • Picture frames
  • Nails
  • Hammer
  1. Step 1

Select photo frames that are the same color or same finish. This will help your wall look uniform and neat. Decide how many pictures you are going to hang on the wall and purchase all the frames at the same time to make sure they match or work well together.

  2. Step 2

Use the same color mat on all pictures. A large white mat will give your photographs a crisp look on your wall and works well if you have a lot of photos of different sizes.

  3. Step 3

Arrange all of your framed photographs on a table before you hang them. You should have enough space to keep a few inches between them.

  4. Step 4

Measure out the space and placement for your photographs and make a small mark on the wall before you start nailing. You want to ensure that your photos do not go too high or low, so make all the markings before you start hammering in the nails.

Tips & Warnings
  • Purchase extra frames in case you decide to expand your wall decor. A frame could fall and break, or you might want to add more photos in the future.
