How to Remove Urine Smell From Tiles
Pungent smells such as urine can have a lingering effect on your tile long after you have cleaned the floor. Removing the smell requires a powerful cleaner that neutralizes the odor, such as bleach, or a milder alternative, such as baking soda. Urine contains uric acids, which must be broken down to remove the smell, according to Virginia Friedman, Melissa Wagner and Nancy Armstrong, authors of "Field Guide to Stains."
