How to Make Paper Air Freshener
Buying paper air fresheners can become an expensive habit, and you may never find a design or scent you really like. Making your own paper air fresheners is an easy, fun, and useful craft project. You can create a design exactly to your liking. Hang your homemade paper air freshener anywhere: in the car, kitchen, or bathroom. They cost only a few cents to make, and you probably already have all the necessary materials right in your house.
Things You'll Need
- Computer graphic printout
- Paper hole puncher
- Fabric softener sheet
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Stapler
- Ribbon
- Pencil

Print out two copies of a computer graphic you want to use for your air freshener, such as a frog, tree, or anything you like.

Cut out both graphics, following their outline.

Place one of the paper graphics onto the fabric softener sheet (such as Bounce). Trace the shape onto the fabric softener sheet using a pencil.

Cut out the shape you traced onto the fabric softener sheet.

Sandwich the fabric softener between the two computer graphics you printed out. The graphic images should be facing outward.

Adhere the layers to one another using double-sided tape, or you can staple them together. You now have a paper air freshener.

Punch a hole at the very top of the air freshener using the hole puncher. Insert a ribbon or kitchen twine into the hole and form a loop. You can hang it from your car's rearview mirror or anywhere else you please.
