How to Identify Pear Trees

Fruit-bearing trees are not only practical food sources, but they are also beautiful to experience. There are four ways to identify a pear tree: its bark, its fruit, its flowers and its leaves. Pears are incredibly delicious and a popular snack among health-conscious people.       Look at the sample of bark. It should appear very rough and rigid, much like a larger version of a dogwood tree.

      Look at the sample of leaves. Leaves should appear round in shape with a point at the end. They are smooth and around the size of the palm of your hand.

      Look at the sample of flowers. They are small, white blossoms that contain five petals and small pink stamen and anthers.

      Examine the fruit. It should be a greenish fruit, spherical at the base and tapering toward the stem.
