One of today's most popular themes for birthday parties, wedding showers and other celebrations is the home-spa day. You and your friends can have a day of luxurious face and body treatments right in your own home, and hiring a massage therapist can add a delightful touch of pampering. The massage therapist may be able to bring his or her own table, but another option is to to rent a massage chair for the therapist to use.
Things You'll Need
- $15 to $20 for each hour you'll want the chair
Locate a massage chair supplier. A quick online search or flip through the phone book will turn up several suppliers, and many of them offer hourly, daily or weekend rentals. Look for the phrase "Massage Equipment Supplier" or "Spa Equipment Supplier." Take down the names and contact information for more than one.
Call the companies you have noted or look at the websites to compare prices. If your event will last more than a few hours, you may want to consider a daily or weekend rental, as opposed to an hourly one. Ask about these options if the company doesn't offer them upfront.
Check into delivery options. Some massage equipment suppliers require you to pick up and drop off your chair, but most are able to do the delivery and return.
Make a reservation for your massage chair and arrangements for pickup and return (either by you or the supplier).
Tips & Warnings
- Some massage equipment suppliers offer a discount if you rent more than one chair at a time. Inquire about this possibility if you can use more than one chair.
