Things You'll Need:
- Tape measure
- Scissors
- Pillowcase fabric
- Embroidery machine
- Embroidery hoop
- Pins
- Sewing machine
-
Step 1
Measure your pillow. Standard-size pillowcases measure 20 by 26 inches; queen-size pillowcases measure 20 by 30 inches; king-size pillows measure 20 by 36 inches.
-
Step 2
Cut the fabric according to the size of the pillow, allowing an extra half-inch on all sides for the seam allowance.
-
Step 3
Choose a design and determine where the design will be located on the pillowcase. Place the area to be embroidered in an embroidery hoop, which is used to hold the fabric stable while it is being stitched. Attach the hoop to the machine.
-
Step 4
Turn the machine on and embroider the design on the fabric. Remove the hoop from the machine and the fabric from the hoop.
-
Step 5
Pin the fabric sides together, design side down, at the seams and sew on a sewing machine. Turn the fabric right-side out.
