How to Replace an Air Hockey Blower
An air hockey table can provide hours of fun, but it contains a few delicate electrical parts that may malfunction over time. One such part is the blower, which powers the air pressure that allows the puck to float up and down the table. Replacement blowers can be purchased from your air hockey table's manufacturer. When you have obtained the new blower motor, replace the broken blower with these steps.

1
Remove breakable items from the top of the air hockey table. This includes any plastic pieces, scorekeeping devices or other items affixed to the air hockey table top. The table will need to be laid upside-down, and the intense pressure coming from the weight of the table will break smaller pieces.
-
2
Lift the air hockey table and lay it upside-down on the ground. Have at least one other person help you with this to prevent damage. If you could not remove all items from the air hockey table top and do not wish to break them, lay the table on its side.

3
Locate the old blower motor on the underside of the air hockey table. It should be placed near the center, secured with three mounting bolts and connected to a power strip.
-
4
Disconnect the old blower motor from the power strip.
-
5
Loosen the mounting bolts with your socket wrench. If your replacement blower did not contain any bolts, nuts or washers, save the ones from your old blower to secure your replacement.
-
6
Remove the old blower motor. Depending on your model, you may need to rotate the blower in order to free the gasket from any additional securing devices. If the gasket is a separate device from the blower and your replacement blower does not contain a gasket, save the gasket from the original blower to secure your replacement.
-
7
Position the gasket and blower motor against the table so the blower's holes are pointing towards the playing surface and the gasket lies closest to the table. Rotate the blower and gasket into place. The holes of the blower must be lined up with the holes underneath the table.
-
8
Thread mounting bolts, nuts and any washers you may have through the appropriate holes on the blower and air hockey table. Tighten the bolts with your socket wrench.
-
9
Connect the new blower motor to the power strip underneath the table.
-
10
Flip the air hockey table back onto all four legs. Carefully set the table down so that all four legs contact the floor at the same time. This will prevent the legs from breaking under excess stress.
