Step 1
Thanks to websites like You Tube, anyone can develop a public image and gain instant fame. Is comedy your thing? How about dedicating a few hours out of your week to brainstorming an effective way to sell yourself? Create a weekly/monthly video discussing satirical situations of your everyday life. Share it with the world, and before you know it, you will have a loyal, highly dedicated fan base tuning in to you. Of course, simply make sure your topics and humor sticks.
-
Step 2
If you're into more than just satire, create a blog. Blogs have taken the Internet by storm, and thanks to its easy-to-use interface, there is no question that even grandma can gain some recognition committing to her daily posts. Talk about what you do best, or take the time to write about current events or the latest gadgetry. Make an "About" page sharing a brief overview of your site, or even writing a small autobiography.
-
Step 3
Being a pretty face on Myspace or Facebook just isn't enough these days to become the celebrity you want to be. Engage your fellow friends in entertaining discussions, moral questions and ethics. Or, simply provide a daily quote or joke in the site's bulletin board. Remember, analyze what you do best and execute your ideas. Find your audience, and stick to your plans.
-
Step 4
With any of the above suggestions, always leave your fan base hungry for more. End your events with a question mark, introduce new topics to cover next time, and always have something new to bring to the table. Talk about famous!
-
Step 5
Join a forum and contribute to the community. Become that person everyone pays attention to, as people are more likely to follow your foot steps if you keep constantly impressing them. Always volunteer to help out and assist. If certain knowledge seems to be out of your reach, simply get out there and research the answers, for it will likely bring you some success. It's only a matter of time before you join the ranks of a forum legend, and go from an average user to a founding moderator or administrator.
-
Step 6
Make yourself interactive. Ask your growing list of fans for suggestions about your field, allow them to participate, and even name of the folks that often contribute to make your efforts even better. All in all, acknowledge your fans, they will love you for it.
