How to Make White Face Paint

White face paint is a creating costumes such as a clown, vampire, zombie, mummy and ghost. The simplest home made face paint is made out of flour and water, but this formula results in poor color. White face paint made out of a grease is necessary if you want the color to stand out and last the night.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Tablespoons of solid white shortening
  • 5 teaspoons of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of white flour
  • 3-5 drops of glycerin (available at a pharmacy)
  1. Step 1

    To start of the face paint combine the flour and cornstarch.

  2. Step 2

    Stir shortening into the mixture with a wooden spoon. Mixture will be thick.

  3. Step 3

    Add glycerin to make the substance creamy. Add three drops, then add one or two more until desired texture is met.

  4. Step 4

    Add a few drops of food coloring to add get colored face paint as needed.

  5. Step 5

    Use a face sponge to apply face paint to large areas and use paint brushes to add small details.

  6. Step 6

    Avoid getting face paint in eyes.

  7. Step 7

    To wash of face paint use dish soap or makeup remover.
