Every time you give them a bath your drying out there skin, use sensitive puppy shampoo on them. Bulldogs have lots of wrinkles, you have to make sure that there completely dry or mold will grow between the folds. Use q-tips to get excess moisture out.

Upper respiratory problems on bulldogs can turn into pneumonia very fast. If you think he is getting a cold take him to the vet' s immediately, don't wait till see. There bodies are heavy and slow moving and colds will sit in there lungs and get worse very fast. To avoid getting the cold in the first place, make sure they don't wear themselves out. As puppies don't take them everywhere, it's fun to show them to all your friend, but let them come to your home to see them. Don't pass them around for everyone to hold. This very tiring for a eight week old puppy.

To avoid strokes, don't take your puppy out in high heat days. Hot temperatures are not good for bulldogs. Also bulldogs love to bask in the heat this is not a good thing.

Bulldogs sometimes get cherry, this cannot really be avoided. If they do get it, have the vet remove it. Don't just push it back in. You have a better chance of it not coming back.

Bulldogs life time is about 8 to 9 years on an average. to get a longer life for them. Keep there weight down the bigger the bulldog, the harder it is for the organs to work. Always have them lay on a pillow not the cement, this will help protect there hips. choose a bulldog that is about 45 to 60 pounds, full grown.
