There are websites that are devoted to paying people for writing articles such as eHow, Busika, in demand studios, infobarrel and many more. These websites pay you a share of the revenue your articles bring in through ads. in demand studios also has flat rate articles that pay you as soon as the article has been approved by an editor.

If you are good with computers and the internet, consider writing your own blog. You can make money by placing advertisements on the sides of the page. You can apply for ads with Google, and also most major retail websites, just scroll to the bottom of their web page and look for the link to their affiliates program. All you have to do is pick a topic that interest you and write at least a post a day. Once you have a good amount of posts, start promoting your blog on social sites such as facebook, twitter and others.

If you are a more accomplished writes, consider submitting articles to magazines and newspapers. Whether it be your hometown newspaper or a major, nationally published magazine, you can get paid for insightful, interesting and informative articles. Some places will pay several hundred dollars for a good article.

If you are very knowledgeable about a certain topic, try writing an eBook about it. Ebooks are better than actual books in that there are no publishing fees. Just charge a modest price for it and then promote it the same as you would promote a blog or website. There are several websites that will let you write an eBook and sell it. Some even let you do it for free!

No matter where you chose to write, stick with it. You may not see great profits when you first start out, but stick with it and the more you learn and the better you get, the more money you will earn. All from the comfort of your own home!

on 10/28/2009 Great tips! I love to write and have found that writing articles for big websites was less stressful for me. I have two blogs up, but don't write in them much. I much prefer sites like eHow and Xomba. :)
