Genital herpes is transmitted through sexual contact, and often times leads to blisters or ulcers in the genital area, as well as the surrounding areas. Genital herpes sores begin as small red bumps and quickly become water blisters that bleed or ooze. It's important to follow your doctors orders, but there are also natural remedies that can be used to help treat genital herpes and also help to prevent outbreaks.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To help prevent genital herpes outbreaks, increase your intake of both Zinc and Antioxidants. Try to take a high quality daily supplement that has a high mineral content as well.

  2. Step 2

Rinse the area affected with genital herpes with a few drops Lemon Balm Oil that is diluted with 1/4 cup of water. You can also steep Dried Lemon Balm in water then rinse over the area.

  3. Step 3

Take echinacea and/or goldenseal in supplemental form to help speed up the healing process of a genital herpes outbreak. Take around 2,000 mg of each during a genital herpes outbreak.

  4. Step 4

Apply St. John's Wort Oil directly to the area affected with genital herpes 2-3 times per day.
