As your own online travel agent, you can simply type in the dates on which you would like to travel, and the website tells you the cheapest days to buy the tickets. For example, it could either tell you to buy the tickets right away or to wait for a week before purchasing your tickets in order to get the cheapest airfare.

Check vacation package sites before you commit to anything. Sites such as travelzoo and cheapcaribbean are not always great, but every once in a while, you will be able to find great package deals for really cheap. These deals often include everything from your airfare to your hotel to your meals. If you hit it right with one of these sites, it could be the only tool you need to be your own online travel agent!
