Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flowers
  • Clear Soda (sprite, club soda)
  • Bleach

FIND YOUR VASE - The cheapest way to send flowers is without a vase. However, you will be surprised at the beautiful vases you can find on an extremely small budget. Delivering your flowers with a vase, will give it a more pulled together look. In fact, the vase can actually give you an idea for the color flowers to choose.

Look for inexpensive vases on Craigslist, at Goodwill or Thrift Stores or even on eBay. Look for unconventional vases such as mason jars or baskets. See article in resource section for more information on using unconventional vases.

CHOOSE YOUR FLOWERS - If you are lucky you may have a family member or generous friend who has a beautiful flower garden, but most likely you will have to purchase flowers.

Consider purchasing flowers at a flower district or farmer's market. Call around to local flower shops to compare prices. Let them know you want to make your own bouquet and ask for recommendations of where to buy inexpensive flowers locally.

Look for flowers that are in season. (See resource section for links). These flowers will be the most beautiful and the least expensive.

Choose several complementary colors and a filler flower such as Baby's Breath. Choose flowers which remind you of your significant other. This way, you can tell her why you chose those flowers specifically for HER.

  3. Step 3
    Arrange them

ARRANGE THE FLOWERS - Use your creativity in arranging the flowers. See the videos in the resource section for expert advice. However, you may find you can make it beautiful simply by grouping the complementary colors together.

  4. Step 4
    Deliver Them
    Deliver Them

DELIVER THE FLOWERS - Choose where you are going to deliver the flowers to. You could have them delivered to her office, front doorstep, home or many other creative places.

If you are in the area you may deliver them in person with a kiss and a hug. Or you can drop them off with someone you relatively trust to give to your significant other. For example: Give them to the receptionist to deliver it to your significant other.

I will never forget one of my teacher's husbands gave her a beautiful vase for their anniversary. He gave random students roses to hand to his wife throughout the day. So, the entire day, she was adding flowers to her vase. That was inexpensive, creative and she will never forget it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Give yourself the time to get engaged in the flower giving process. It will mean more to both her and you.
  • If you want to know the cheapest way to deliver flowers from a distance, I highly recommend using the yellowpages or yellowpages.com to call three local delivery florists in her area to compare prices. Then look online for three different delivery services. Choose whicever price is the cheapest.
