If your looking to lose fat without losing muscle this article will give you the proper steps to take. Many people are wondering how to lose fat without losing their muscle mass. The answer is pretty simple. Just follow the simple steps mentioned in this article and you will begin to lose fat without losing muscle.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to know about losing fat without losing muscle is two basic concepts. Concept number one it that fat can never transform into muscle. Fat must be burned off and can be burned off quicker as you develop larger muscles. There is no way possible for it to transform into muscle as it lacks needed proteins and amino acids to make this happen. Concept number two is that muscle can never turn into fat, ever! What typically happens is people reduce their workout and have the same diet. All of the extra calories being consumed are not burned off by your normal workout you did before and your muscles start to shrink from lack of exercise. The extra calories not burned off by your muscles sit in your body and eventually turn into fat.

  2. Step 2

Now that you understand the concept of fat and muscle I can explain hot to lose fat without losing your muscle mass. If you maintain or increase your exercise routine your muscle mass should not reduce unless your over 30 as your body has started to reduce its testosterone levels. For those of us over 30 years old, you need to consider taking in extra protein (1/2 gram per body pound daily at minimum). Once you pass 30 your muscle mass actually starts to deteriorate around one percent per year unless you workout and stay active to maintain it.

  3. Step 3

The third concept is how to burn fat without reducing muscle size. Most people will start to notice that their body parts will begin to "shrink" after working out for a few months. Those of you who have an excess of fat to reduce need to understand that burning off fat is quicker then burning off muscle. Gaining ten pounds of muscle in post thirty years old is hard to accomplish. Those of you under 30 will find id difficult to gain 20 lbs in a year. Losing 30 lbs of fat in a year is possible for almost anyone overweight. Fat is not as dense as muscle so you will see a bigger difference when it is lost.

  4. Step 4

As you can see burning off fat does not cause you to lose muscle mass. If you are beginning to get self conscious due to weight loss consider taking Creatine or NO2x. This will cause you to retain water weight in the right places to give you a buffer look. These are over the counter supplements and are perfectly legal.
