If your looking to consolidate credit card bills this article will show you the proper steps to take. The entire process of consolidating credit card bills should take less than two hours and will save you a thousands in the end.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To consolidate credit card bills you need to know what your balance is and what the interest rate is for each credit card. Look at your bills online or wait until your bill comes through the mail. Write down the interest rate and amount owed on each credit card. Payment isn't important as they could still be charging you higher interest even though your payment is less than the other card bills.

  2. Step 2

After you have calculated your interest rate for each bill you will need to total them out. Sum up all of the bills for each card to consolidate credit card bills. Once you come up with an amount its time to start making phone calls.

  3. Step 3

Call each credit card company you have accounts with and a few others offering low transfer services. Find out if they offer any specials such as 6 months or 12 months interest free on balance transfers. Remember your looking for two things. The first being the lowest possible rate and the second being a special on all balance transfers. Weigh the options and take into consideration how long it would take for you to pay off each card with a lower balance transfer and how many monthly payments you will need to obtain a zero balance after the special is over.
