Things You'll Need:
- Small pot
- Quick-draining soil
- Fertilizer
-
Step 1
Plant your jade plant in a small pot with porous soil for good drainage.
-
Step 2
Water the new plant generously. Allow the soil to dry slightly between future waterings. A good rule of thumb is to water the jade plant once a week.
-
Step 3
Fertilize your jade plant once every two weeks. Use a 10-20-10 or 5-10-5 fertilizer, or African violet food. Follow the instructions on the label for mixing and feeding the fertilizer.
-
Step 4
Keep your jade plant in an area that gets bright light and a consistent temperature. Jades do best at 75 to 85 degrees during the day and 55 degrees at night.
