How to Clean Fabric Wall Panels

Things You'll Need
- Vacuum
- Upholstery attachment
- Mild fabric cleaner
- Carpet brush
- Paper towels

Push the upholstery attachment into the vacuum cleaner. Place the attachment at the top of the fabric wall panel. Turn the vacuum on and rub the attachment down the fabric in a row. Pick the upholstery attachment up and place at the top again. Repeat until the fabric wall panel is free of debris.

Spray a mild fabric cleaner at the top of the panel. Fabric cleaners are available at your local department store.

Scrub the cleaner into the wall panel with the carpet brush. Follow the direction of the fibers. If they go downward, scour with a downward motion. Add more fabric cleaning solution as necessary.

Blot the cleaner from the panel with a damp paper towel. You may need a spray bottle or a pan with water and use multiple paper towels. Press hard into the fabric to remove set in dirt. Once the paper towel is dirty, use another until the panel is clean.

Repeat Step 1 to vacuum the wall panel again. Allow air-drying, which will take about five hours, depending on the mild fabric cleaner.

You may need a step stool or ladder if the top of the fabric wall panel is out of reach. If the fabric wall panel is large, you may need to clean in sections.
