How to Clean Bathroom Fans
The bathroom fan is responsible for removing steam and odors from your bathroom. This serves an integral role in reducing mildew and mold growth in your bathroom and promoting a pleasant, clean environment. However, over the years, the bathroom exhaust fan is likely to become dirty and dusty and, occasionally, moldy. To ensure that it is functioning at its full capacity, clean your bathroom fan regularly. Does this Spark an idea?

Cut off the electricity to your fan by flipping the circuit breaker.

-
3
Access the fan with a ladder.
-
4
Remove the fan cover by releasing the plastic tabs or unscrewing the screws that hold the cover in place. You may also need to disassemble the exhaust fan's enclosure to access the blades.
-
5
Dust fan blades with a dusting cloth (such as a Swiffer). Remove as much dust as possible before wet cleaning.
-
6
Mix a solution of warm water and a mild detergent. Wet a rag with the solution and wipe down the blades to remove dirt and mildew.
-
7
Dry the blades thoroughly with a clean cloth. Replace the cover when finished.
