CD-R is a recordable media with a storage capacity of 700 megabytes. To create a DVD-like disk it is necessary to write video files on a CD-R in the video CD (VCD) format. Such a disk holds up to 74 minutes of a movie with sound, and is playable on any DVD player. A Nero software suite allows you to write video format files in the VCD format and also adds a simple menu to the disc in order to manage the VCD playback.
