How to Clean Wood Miniblinds

Things You'll Need:

• Vacuum with brush attachment
• Wood furniture polish
• Clean towel

1. Completely close the blinds to ensure that all slats are facing the same direction.

2. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust from the blinds.

3. Adjust the blinds so the opposite side of the slats is facing you, and vacuum again.

4. Spray furniture polish onto a clean towel; never spray directly onto the blinds.

5. Use a back and forth motion to wipe the blinds and remove remaining dust and dirt.

6. Adjust the blinds so the opposite side of the slats is facing you.

7. Wipe the blinds with the towel, using additional furniture polish if necessary.

Tips & Warnings

• Run a dryer sheet along the slats of the blinds after they have been cleaned to help prevent dust from building up.
• Do not use water or other liquids to clean wood blinds. This can cause warping and ruin the blinds.
