Acrylic stains offer a protective seal and attractiveness to concrete floors. Concrete floors with this type of stain should be cleaned in a specific manner to maintain the beauty and endurance of the finish. This can be accomplished by using the proper tools and products in the correct manner, with careful application.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bucket
  • Water
  • pH nuetral cleaner
  • Broom
  • Dust pan
  • Mop
  • Fans
  1. Step 1

Sweep the entire surface of your concrete floor to remove dust and debris.

  2. Step 2

Dilute a pH neutral cleaner in one gallon of cool water (see Resources section). These kinds of cleaners will not damage the acrylic stain as other commercial products do.

  3. Step 3

Mop the concrete floor with the solution. This combination will restore the gloss to your acrylic stain.

  4. Step 4

Allow the floor to dry by opening windows and/or turning on fans.

  5. Step 5

Re-coat the surface of the concrete with a floor finish after several cleanings, in order to restore abrasion damage. You can choose either gloss or matte floor finishes (see Resources section).
