1
Welcome guests by adorning the garage door or front porch with Batman decorations that resemble the skyscrapers of Gotham City. Tape together pieces of 11-by-17 inch black construction paper that have been cut into varying heights in order to form the high-rises. Cut out 3-inch squares cut from 12-by-12 inch pieces of yellow card stock and arrange them in rows to create the windows. Affix the paper buildings to the garage door or porch with removable tape.
-
2
Create a signpost that can be placed next to the construction-paper buildings using 3-by-12 inch strips of silver card stock. Using tape, join three pieces of the card stock lengthwise to create a 3-foot paper "pole." Add another strip to the top of the pole that will serve as a directional sign that points toward the paper skyscapers. Use the black marker to denote that this is "Gotham City." Add another directional sign pointing toward the front door, and write "Bat Cave" on this strip. Place the pole and directional signs next to the paper skyscrapers using removable tape.

3
Make a Bat Cave entrance for the front door. Tape six 11-by-17 inch pieces of black construction paper together to create a 22-by-51 inch rectangle. Use a pencil to sketch an arch on the paper, cut out the "cave opening" with scissors and affix it to the door with removable tape.
-
4
Hang white streamers in a U-shape from the doorways, over windows or from the ceiling in order to simulate spider webs in the Bat Cave. A similar effect can be created with stretched-out chunks of cotton.
-
5
Print out clip-art images of Batman, Robin and the Batmobile using a color printer, and use a color copy machine to enlargen the images to the size you desire. Use removable tape to adhere these images to the walls.
-
6
Direct guests to different party locations such as refreshment, craft or game areas by hanging a "bat signal" near each space with removable tape. Make these bat signals by first using a 10-inch plate as a template to trace a circle onto a 12-by-12 inch piece of yellow card stock. Cut out the sphere, and print and cut out an 8-inch-wide clip-art image of the Batman icon and affix it to the center of the yellow circle with double-stick tape.
-
7
Decorate the refreshment and gift tables with Batman gadgets like Batman gloves, Bat-shaped boomerangs called "Batarangs," or a Dark Knight grappling hook. Embellish plain yellow plates, cups and napkins with Batman-themed stickers or bats made from black card stock and a bat-shaped paper punch.

Tips & Warnings
If you're preparing for a last-minute Batman birthday party, buy wall decorations, streamers, paper plates, cups, napkins and balloons pre-printed with Batman-themed designs instead of designing your own.
