How to Block Phone Number
There are two ways to block your phone number, as needed or for all calls. When your number is blocked, it usually shows up on the receiving end as "Blocked" or "Private." Block your caller ID if you are making a call where you don't want the recipient to have access to your telephone number.

1
Block your phone number from appearing on caller ID for an individual call by dialing *67 before dialing the actual phone number you are calling. This code works on a per-call basis.
-
2
Contact your phone company and block your phone number from caller ID on all calls generated from that specific phone line. If your state allows it, your phone company can block the caller ID feature on all of your outgoing calls so your name and number never show.

Dial *82 to turn off the caller ID block prior to making any calls where you want your ID to be seen. If you have a complete line block, but need to call someone and they won't pick up unless they know it is you, dial *82 and your caller ID information will be shown.
