A 7 day juice fast is a great way to lose weight on a juice fast without worrying about drastically slowing your metabolism. Juice fasts are a great way to detoxify the body, as well as lose weight and fat. When following a juice fast for more than a couple of days it's important to follow certain rules so that you do not gain the weight back after breaking the fast.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When following a juice fast for 7 days, it's important to get the nutrients your body needs. Avoid drinking pre made juices unless they're organic, it's important to use fresh fruits and vegetables that are freshly juiced to make sure you get the nutrients that you need.

  2. Step 2

Make sure to get a blend of different juices so that you get the different vitamins and nutrients that your body needs. Make sure not to focus on specific fruits and vegetables, or groups like citrus.

  3. Step 3

It's important to get lots of vegetable juice, and not just fruit juice. If you struggle with the taste of vegetable juice, try to disguise it with stronger fruit juices.

  4. Step 4

If you purchase any of the juices pre made, make sure that they're plain and organic. Also make sure that nothing has been added like sugar or salt, which will prevent the body from detoxifying properly during the fast.

  5. Step 5

Try to make sure you get at least 800 calories worth of juice each day. Ideally though you want to have around 1200 calories worth of fruits and vegetables on at least 5 of the 7 days to prevent any damage to your metabolism.

  6. Step 6

Even though you are drinking lots of juices, also make sure to drink water as well. Try to drink around 8 glasses of water, along with your juice.
