Anyone can write and article for online content. Articles can help drive traffic to a website or blog. Articles can be written in any language.

Things You'll Need:

  • Command of any written language. Includes the command of sentence structure, proper grammar and spelling.
  • Computer and keyboard
  • Spell check or grammar check program such as what is available through Word document or Open Office is beneficial.
  1. Step 1

    Choose a topic to write about or be hired by someone looking for a specific article topic. Find hot topics on Yahoo or any popular online forum that are being discussed.

  2. Step 2

    Research your topic so that the facts contained in your article are accurate. The information you write about should be interesting and appeal to the audience that you imagine will be reading the article.

  3. Step 3

    If the purpose of the article is to bring in traffic for a website or blog then choose keywords carefully and place them in the title of the article and throughout the body of the article.

  4. Step 4

    Write an opening paragraph that describes what the article is about so that the reader knows what information is going to be disclosed in the body of the article.

  5. Step 5

    Write 2 to 3 paragraphs that tell about a main idea within the topic of the article. Use your chosen keywords or keyword phrases within these paragraphs. Make sure that you give the reader the information that you promised in your opening paragraph.

  6. Step 6

    Write a concluding paragraph that sums up the main points of your article.

Tips & Warnings
  • Cite sources at the end of your article or in-text if appropriate. These sources add to the credibility of your article and give the reader additional places to look online for more information about the topic of your article.
  • Do not plagiarize another writer's work. You can research online when preparing to write your article but never copy and paste from another article.
