How to Sleep with a Ruptured Disc

A ruptured disc, also called a herniated or slipped disc, is a painful condition caused by the bones of the spine bulging out and putting pressure on spinal nerves. The condition is often caused by improperly lifting heavy objects. The pain from a ruptured disc can make it very difficult to sleep, but there are some things you can do to alleviate the pain and discomfort of lying down.

4. Don't sleep on your stomach. This position arches your back's natural curves and is likely to irritate your ruptured disc.
