How to Say Thank You for Baby Gifts
Your family and friends have generously given you baby gifts in honor of your new arrival. Now it's your turn to show your appreciation. Thank-you notes for baby gifts should convey an authentic, personal expression of gratitude. You can accomplish this by following several tips when writing thank-you notes for the gifts your little one received.

1
Write the thank-you notes and mail them promptly. Ideally your notes should go out one to three weeks after receiving the gifts. A speedy thank-you note lets the gift giver know that her gesture was important enough to merit a prompt response. If you forget or get behind, send one anyway. It's not as good as a quick reply, but a late thank-you note is better than no note at all.
-
2
Write the note in your own handwriting. Never type thank-you notes. Handwriting is much more personal.

3
Thank the person specifically for what they gave. Add a few details to show you really noticed and valued the gift. Say something like, "Thank you so much for the pink and green dress." That sounds much better than a generic "Thank you for the gift," or "Thanks for the baby clothes."
-
4
Mention how the gift might be useful. For instance, say something like, "Thank you for the pink and green dress. I know our little one will look adorable in it!"
-
5
Thank the gift givers for their presence at the shower if that's where they gave you the gifts. You want to communicate that you appreciated seeing them and not that you appreciated only what they brought.
-
6
Close with a phrase such as "with gratitude," "with much appreciation" or the standard "sincerely," and sign your name.
-
7
Check your note for spelling and grammatical errors and for neatness. Revise or rewrite if necessary. Attention to detail communicates appreciation.
