Paint the vase with glass paint. You can find glass paint at any crafts store. Make sure that you buy the washable kind, as you may want to remove your design when you are finished using the vase. Try painting a swirling design on the vase, or a classic monogram. For a seasonal look, cover the vase with tiny pumpkins or candy canes.

Add some sparkle. Use a glitter pen to highlight your painted design. Add a drop of silver glitter to the tip of each candy cane. Or draw a circle around the monogram with gold glitter.

Decorate the rim of the vase. Use a glue gun to trace a line of hot glue around the rim, then press items onto the glue.
