How to Dial a Caller ID Block
Caller ID is a service provided by telephone providers that allows you to see the telephone number--and sometimes the name--of the person who is calling before you answer the phone. Conversely, when you call someone with Caller ID, they will be able to see your information. If you are uncomfortable with this, you can block the display of your number on a permanent or call-by-call basis.

Dial *67 on your telephone. This will activate a Caller ID block for a single call.

Dial the telephone number of the person to whom you want to speak. Your name and telephone number will not be displayed on their Caller ID.

Block Caller ID on a permanent basis by requesting a complete block from your telephone company. Your name and phone number will not be shared via Caller ID unless you choose to allow it on a per-call basis. To deactivate a complete Caller ID block for an individual call, dial *82 and then the telephone number.
