How to Build an Office Chair
Many people pay others to put together their office chairs because of the perceived degree of difficulty. However, not every office chair is hard to build. Most only take about an hour.

Clear out a large space in a room, leaving a three-foot circle around the parts.

Separate the major parts of the chair and arrange them in your space.

Remove any bags containing screws, nails or other parts and set them aside.

Find the instruction manual for assembling your chair. Office chairs vary greatly depending on features, size and capabilities, so you will need to consult the manual to build your chair.

Use the drill or screwdriver to install any screws or other parts of the chair as directed by the manual.

Move the chair to your actual work station when you are about to combine the bottom and top. This way, you won't run into a situation where you can't fit a chair through a doorway. Finish assembling the chair.
