Things You'll Need:
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to step out of your comfort zone
-
Step 1
Reflect over your past achievements, regardless of how big or small. When you realize that you have made accomplishments, this will help you actualize your self-confidence.
-
Step 2
Stop thinking that you aren't worth anything or that your value is less than someone else's based on wealth or popularity. You are valuable and your value is what you set it at. If you want to be valuable, then have that attitude!
-
Step 3
When you meet someone, look them in the eyes, have good posture, shake their hand firmly, and smile. This projects confidence and people will have a higher tendency to put their trust in you.
-
Step 4
Be yourself and realize who you are. If you follow someone else's lead, there's no wonder that you won't have any confidence. Be comfortable in your skin and don't try too hard to impress other people with your accomplishments or possessions.
-
Step 5
When you speak, try your absolute best to speak clearly and keep your tone at a normal level. Don't speak softly and be sure to smile.
-
Step 6
Take a risk, do something bold and realize afterwards that you had the guts and the confidence to do what others didn't. This will help you realize that you are truly a confident person and that you have the ability to do what you want to do.
-
Step 7
Take action in your life. Don't play the victim role but rather do what you want to do and do it now. Don't be a chess piece in this life but be the one moving the chess pieces.
-
Step 8
Don't ask people what to do, but look within yourself to find the answers that you are looking for. Quit relying on others to spoon food you life's answers. When you make your own decisions, this projects a very high level of confidence and shows people that you know what you are doing and that you know what you want. Why should anyone tell you how to live your life, after all, it is YOUR life!
-
Step 9
Loosen up and enjoy life. Don't take things to seriously and don't be worried about what others may think of you.
