How to Make Healthy Native American Fry Bread

Native American fry bread is a traditional food that's been enjoyed for centuries. Unfortunately, that traditional recipe includes fatty, unhealthy ingredients. Give your fry bread recipe a makeover by substituting ingredients that are more wholesome without sacrificing the connection to the delicacies of the past. If you've never had fry bread, you can use it much like a tortilla by wrapping it around foods, as a bread substitute with a meal, or even as a dessert with honey or ice cream. This recipe makes eight servings.

    Things You'll Need

    • 1 cup self-rising flour
