Got a leaky air mattress? Going to bed with a full air mattress and waking up on the hard ground can be frustrating not to mention uncomfortable. Here are a few tips on how to patch a hole in your air mattress.

Things You'll Need

• Vinyl patch kit
• Empty spray bottle
• Soap
• Water

Instructions

1. Locate the hole in your air mattress. If you are dealing with a tiny hole this can be difficult. Start by filling your air mattress to capacity.

2. Mix a little soap with water and pour it into an empty spray bottle.

3. Set the spray bottle to the mist setting and squirt the entire air mattress with soapy water. Once you have located the hole you will notice bubbling coming from around the air leak.

4. Dry the area around the hole and mark it with a marker. Make sure the whole area is completely dry before proceeding on to the next steps.

5. Deflate the air mattress completely and flatten out the area with the hole.

6. Apply the hole patch from your vinyl repair kit to the whole. Vinyl repair kits are normally made for pool toys but they will do the job as well as a water bed path kit or a bicycle tube patch kit. Allow the glue on the rubber patch to set for at least 24 hours before inflating the air mattress.
