Learn the easiest way to regrip your golf clubs

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vise
  • double sided tape
  • rubber shaft holder
  • grip solution
  • grip
  • box cutter
  1. Step 1

attach shaft to rubber grip holder, for best results place in the middle of shaft

  2. Step 2

place shaft in vise and secure grip, make sure there is no movement in vise

  3. Step 3

remove old grip and clean down to the steel so there is no old tape left on. You need a smooth surface.

  4. Step 4

on the smooth surface apply place tape on shaft. Be sure that tape goes over the butt end of the shaft. The rubber and the steel will not work unless you have tape on the butt end. Only apply a grip length of tape.

  5. Step 5

add grip solution to tape and quickly get grip ready for application. apply some solution to the tip of the new grip. This will allow you a smooth transition as you slide the new grip on

  6. Step 6

slide grip on from butt end and align grip to head. the solution acts quickly so be prepared to make the alignment changes.

  7. Step 7

    let dry for 1 hour

Tips & Warnings
  • one tip to make things easier is to apply grip solution using a spray bottle.
  • Spray solution on the tip of the new grip for easier application.
  • The new grip will dry quickly so align your grip to the head immediately.
