If your computers monitor has a stuck pixel don't freak out, there are ways you can actually fix it. Unfortunately not every ones monitor can be saved but its worth a shot. Here are a few simple ways you can fix your dead pixel problem.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Using the pressure method is often a good way to recover dead pixels. First turn off your computers monitor. Then grab a damp washcloth and anything with a dull end such as a pen or pencil. Hold your washcloth to the screen as you apply a bit of pressure to the exact spot your dead pixel is showing. While applying pressure turn your monitor back on and release all pressure. After releasing you shouldn't see any more dead pixels.

  2. Step 2

If the previous method didn't work, here's another. This method is called the tapping method. Turn your computer and monitor on and display an all black background so your dead pixel is easily seen. Now take a pen or pencil and using the rounded end gently tap where the dead pixel is located. Start off using small amount of pressure and working your way up until the dead pixel disappears. If it doesn't your best bet is to stop tapping and try something different.

  3. Step 3

If neither of these methods worked for you, your computer is out of luck. You may find other ways to fix it by searching up more how to articles on dead pixels, but most likely they wont work. It is best to take your computer in to a professional or send it back to the company you got it from if its still under warranty.
