How to Make Bird Seed Snowmen
Making a bird feeder using peanut butter and bird seed is a popular way to attract birds around your house and garden. You can even make the peanut butter and bird seed mixture resemble something festive, such as a snowman. The bird seed can be purchased at any pet supply store. Hang these feeders from trees in your yard.
Things You'll Need
- Peanut butter
- Bird seed formulated for wild birds
- Large pine cone
- Two plastic spoons
- Ornament hook
- Hot glue
Instructions

1
Place a small dot of hot glue on top of the pine cone. Hold the ornament hook firmly by the curve and keep the body of the hook against the glue as it dries.
-
2
Use a plastic spoon to create a large dollop of peanut butter on the bottom of the pine cone. Swirl the dollop so that it is circular and puffy. Use another, smaller dollop of peanut butter to create another puffy circle directly above the first, creating the snow man's body. Add an even smaller dollop to form the snowman's head.

3
Use the other plastic spoon to get small scoops of bird seed and dump them over the peanut butter circles. Repeat until the snowman is completely covered in bird seed.

4
Pick out larger seeds (like sunflower seeds) from the bird feed bag and arrange them on the snowman to create eyes and buttons.
