Instructions

    • 1

Place the cooker on a flat, level surface. Make sure the power is off. Close the lid of the cooker and insert the power cord into an electric outlet.

    • 2

Switch the power on. The power light and timer display should light up. The display will switch between "PH," which represents the preheat mode, and a number, which is the amount of time required for the cooker to preheat. It will count down from five minutes and beep four times when it is ready to use.

    • 3

Open the lid carefully with a potholder or oven mitt. Slide the drip tray into position directly under the front of the Contact Cooker. Carefully place food, such as meat, potatoes and vegetables, into the cooker using plastic or wooden utensils. Metal utensils may scratch the cooker's nonstick surface.

    • 4

Close the lid. Press the up and down arrow buttons next to the timer display to set the desired amount of cooking time. Refer to the cooking chart provided with your Contact Cooker for suggested cooking times. For example, a 5-pound chicken can be roasted in 60 to 75 minutes.

    • 5

Lift the lid of the cooker when the time has elapsed and the timer beeps four times. Be sure to use an oven mitt or potholder to avoid burns or injury. Remove the food from the cooker using plastic or wooden utensils. Close the lid, press the power button to turn the cooker off and unplug the power cord.

    • 6

Empty the drip tray once any drippings have cooled. Wipe the George Foreman clean with a soft, dampened sponge. Dry with a dish towel or paper towels.
