With all the high-tech gifts given these days, sometimes the most meaningful gifts are the ones that take care to produce. For instance, do grandma and grandpa want a new stereo system, or would they prefer a beautiful fleece throw covered in pictures of their grandchildren?

There are thousands of companies on the Internet that provide specialized photo printing services. You can upload a picture to their site, and they print the photo onto blankets, key chains, pillows and even furniture. These services are very easy to use and make that perfect gift for your loved ones.

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Digital photograph
  1. Step 1

Find the right website. Because there are so many photo printing companies online, you can take your time shopping around for the best prices (see Resources). Also, you'll want to find the company that offers the service you want. Not all online photo printing companies print photos onto fleece throws.

  2. Step 2

Pick the perfect product. Now that you've found the site, you can figure out which size you want the fleece throw to be. Most come in standard sizes of 50 by 60 inches and are made of polar fleece. You can choose a fleece throw in a smaller size if it's for a child or a lap throw. Besides fleece, some companies print on heavy knit blankets. These are more expensive than the fleece throws.

  3. Step 3

Upload the photo. Most photo printing sites use the same photo uploading method: click on the photo upload option and then click "Browse," find the photo you'd like to use amongst the photos on your computer, click on the picture and then click on the "Open" button that appears.

Back on the website you'll choose the quantity of product, click "Add to Cart" and then the photo will be uploaded to their system.

  4. Step 4

Purchase the item. Once the picture has been uploaded and you've added the product to the online shopping cart, you can go through the purchasing process (entering payment information, giving shipping information) and confirm the purchase. The processing and shipping time will differ by company.

Tips & Warnings
  • These photo-imprinting sites will only take photos taken with digital cameras, are not obscene or vulgar and are in JPEG or TIFF formats.
