How to Make a Toddler Tin Man Costume

You can create a Tin Man costume for your toddler very easily. By following a few simple steps you will have an adorable costume for your little one. This costume is relatively inexpensive and you may already have may of the costume items in your home. The Tin Man costume can be worn by boys and girls. Accessories will add some frill for your little toddler girl.

Things You'll Need

• White sweatshirt
• White sweatpants
• Silver metallic spray paint
• Shoes
• Gloves
• Birthday party cone hat

Instructions

Tin Man Costume

1. Spray the sweatpants and sweatshirt with the silver metallic spray paint.

2. Spray the shoes with the silver metallic spray paint.

3. Spray the coned birthday party hat with the silver metallic spray paint.

4. Spray the gloves with the silver metallic spray paint.

5. Let the paint dry for at least the length of time indicated on the spray can.

Tips & Warnings

• If this costume is for a toddler girl, you can use a thick piece of metallic silver ribbon to tie in a bow around her neck. You can also use metallic silver beads instead of a bow. For this costume, use an older pair of shoes. After they are painted silver, you will most likely not be using them again.

• Make sure you allow this costume plenty of time to dry. When wet, this paint can be hazardous.
