Windows offer a view to the outside, and you can use a window shelf to add complementary colors to your room décor. Covering the windowsill with a mirror will give the illusion of a bigger space. The outside light will also reflect off the mirror to brighten up a small room. Adding handsome colored flowerpots on a window shelf with flowers or plants creates a cheery atmosphere. The colored pots will reflect into the mirror to double the color.
