Have a chair with broken or missing sections of wicker? Professional wicker repair can be expensive. If you have the right materials, wicker repair can easily be done at home with a little know how. Here are a few tips on how to repair wicker yourself.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Determine what type of wicker you have. Wicker comes in many types including reed, willow, sea grass, cane, and fiber rush. Most arts and crafts stores carry a large selection of wicker products.

  2. Step 2

Tack the end of your new piece of wicker as close to the old piece as possible. If you do not have a support to tack the wicker to, you can glue it or tuck it in securely.

  3. Step 3

Weave the new piece of wicker in and out of the furniture until the old gap is filled. Glue, tuck, tack, or wrap the end where ever possible to secure it and prevent future unraveling.
