Decorating with the color yellow is so cheerful and rewarding. Home decor that centers around yellow paint and accessories is warm and inviting.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Magnify the enjoyment of your living space by introducing the color...yellow...to your home. Allow the positive vibes that come from yellow tones to create the perfect home décor themes. Because yellow is such a warm color, it makes the walls seem even closer than they really are thus creating a cozy environment.

  2. Step 2

Zesty...yellow is associated with the sun so it denotes a warm feeling like the tropics or warm climates. Golden and peachy or copper hues are especially cheerful and vibrant when they are used as a central interior design motif. Yellow is the ideal color for making your living space more friendly and personal.

  3. Step 3

Achieve intense and energetic undertones to the room by using complementary woodworking, tiling, and textile elements. Jewel tones in reds, purples, and blues add complementary elements to the room. If you use white as an outlining feature on baseboards and crown molding, the warmth of the yellow will become even more apparent.

  4. Step 4

Blend yellow shades together to create even more energy and warmth. Golden walls look especially nice with warm wood floors or terra cotta tiling. Yellow is an idea home decorating color because it is also neutral in its basic tone. Therefore, you can accessorize with almost any color or pattern that you should choose. Yellow is especially pleasant because it works well for decorating in all seasons including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring.
