How to Prepare for a Photoshoot

Model photo shoots can be fun and exciting, especially if it is your first one. This is the time that you will be defining yourself as a model and putting yourself out there. You are having glamorous photos taking of you to showcase to possible agents. The key is selling your best attributes and take the best photos at your photo shoot. It is important to be prepared. Being prepared is an important part of achieving a good photo shoot.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    A week before your photo shoot, get your roots done if you need too. Make sure your hair looks and feels healthy. Get your split-ends cut.

  2. Step 2

    Two to three days before the shoot shave or wax your legs, arms, underarm and any other areas that are deemed to need hair removed. If you shave, make sure you shave properly so you will not have razor bumps.

  3. Step 3

    Call the photographer and confirm the date, location and time of the shoot.

  4. Step 4

    Pack your model bag. This will consist of the outfits you are going to wear and all necessities. Make sure you bring your own make-up, a comb and brush, black and white heels, and accessories. You need to have at least two looks but always bring extra.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't wear make-up to the photo shoot, unless you are told.
  • Work the camera. You are showcasing the best attributes about you.
  • Have fun.
  • Photo shoots can be long hours
