The Christmas holiday is a time to have special dishes and delicious drinks. This is a great recipe for an easy festive addition to your celebrating.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 container of Simply Apple
  • 2cups orange juice
  • 2cups cranberry juice
  • 3-lemons (squeezed) add rind to Pot
  • 2cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup whole cloves
  • 2 tablespoon Cinnamon powder.
  • 1tsp nutmeg
  • 1 orange
  • stock pot
  1. Step 1

The first step in to prepare all your ingredients and slice all the lemons in half. Also you want to slice a large orange into multiple slices to lay on top of the wassil at it simmers and can infuse the drink.

  2. Step 2

Take out the stock pot and pour in the apple juice, cranberry juice, and orange juice. Measure your spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves into the juice mixture. At this time squeeze the 3 lemons, place one sliced orange, and add the brown sugar so that the mixture can be mixed well. The lemons and orange can be placed into the wassil with the rind on and allow to simmer like this.

  3. Step 3

Allow the wassil to be stirred to mix the spices and bring to a boil. After the christmas wassil has boiled than you can reduce the heat and allow it to simmer on low for at least 15 minutes with the lemons and oranges laying on top. Serve warm in mugs or serve over ice for a different kind of drink.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can keep the wassil warm by allowing it to simmer on low or add to a crock pot and keep it set on warm.
