Things You'll Need:
- Good memory
- Good Reading skills
- Passion
- Patience
-
Step 1
Learning how to breathe this is the most important step. Sure anybody can breath why would you need to lean. I'll be more specific every human emotion is linked to our breathing. When you are angry your breathing rhythm raises accelerating your heart rate. Same for when you are scared. When you are sad it feels like the air is suck right out of you and makes you sick to your stomach. Shock follows in this same pattern and so on. I can't cover all the emotions and patterns in one article it's to much info. So here is the crucial breathing exercises you need to learn. It's called square breathing you will begin by inhaling for six second, you will hold your breath in for the same amount, you will then release in the same amount of time and hold without taking in more air for the same amount. You can begin with four seconds if you have trouble with six and eventually build up to fifteen seconds over time.
-
Step 2
Now you must learn to use your diaphragm step one will help you build strength to allow you control of this muscle. Without the proper use of this muscle everyone would be a terrible singer no matter how good the voice. Children are great at using this muscle they can release it's entire air contents in a single scream leaving us bewildered and astonished. You guess right your next exercise is to scream as loud as you possibly can. Be careful not to force yourself as it might injure you vocal cords. Try the traditional ahhhhhhhhhhhh! it's less aggressive than a whole word.
-
Step 3
Now comes the only hard step in this lesson I know I titled the article how to become an actor in 5 easy steps and now you feel like I lied. I'm sorry if you feel this way but I assume everyone already has this ability but to those who don't I'll give you a quick exercise. (Good memory) It may seem natural to some but others struggle greatly with this. I recommend this exercise lose the cellphone for a week an make it your goal to memorize all the phone numbers in it's memory in just a couple of days before you put it to rest. You'll be glad you did call the people at least twice in that week put your memory to practice if you feel the need to cheat don't it will only work against you.
-
Step 4
You need to learn how to develop your voice. Your voice consist of pronunciation, enunciation, articulation and projection read my articles on how to improve each one of these specific subjects. For the moment you can simply record your voice reading play it back and analyze areas that need improvement. Don't worry if you think your voice sounds wired everybody thinks that exact same thing.
-
Step 5
Learning to recreate naturally an everyday physical activity. Such as sleeping watching T.V. eating mainly everything that involves you doing something physical. Begin to do more things in front of the mirror or begin to observe other people around you when they do things just try not to stare some people find that to be rude and are easily offend.
-
Step 6
If the article was to technical here are five easy steps to do if you have the pre acting part down. First write a resume of all the acting you have done and the abilities that you posses your hobbies looks etc. Second take some head shots don't buy something to fancy Third combine your head shot and your resume your resume goes in the back of your picture. Fourth get and agent send him your resume. Fifth go to auditions your agent gets you or that you find on your own.
