Give your treadmill to an e-recycling or hazardous-waste firm. Many cities offer a hazardous-waste dump where you can drop off the treadmill. Be prepared. Some cities charge a disposal fee.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're selling your treadmill, be open to negotiation, as people may debate the condition of the treadmill.
  • Don't simply toss out the treadmill. The treadmill contains chemicals and materials that are hazardous to the environment, and thus cannot be disposed of through normal means.
  • Be sure to obtain any tax forms if you are donating your treadmill, in case your return is contested.
