Aloe vera is a common moisturizer for the skin because it locks in moisture. Aloe vera is a plant with spiky, green leaves. The leaves contain moisturizing juices. Aloe vera juice can also be used as a hair conditioner. Aloe vera conditioner has been known to keep hair moisturized and can help treat dandruff. Making your own conditioner out of aloe vera gel or juice, a lemon and essential oils is a cheap, quick alternative to purchasing it.

Apply aloe vera gel directly to the scalp for 30 minutes to help with dandruff and to stimulate hair growth. Applying the gel directly to the hair and letting it sit overnight also works as a leave-in conditioner. Add aloe vera gel to your favorite shampoo. Add 1 tbsp. of aloe vera gell for every 8 oz. of shampoo.
  • Completely rinse all of the solution out of your hair after the recommended amount of time.
