How to Restore Grout With Cleaners

Dirt and stains can swiftly accumulate on the grout in between tiles. Because of the porous consistency of grout, removing this filth can be a challenge. With a simple cleaning product and a bit of elbow grease, you can effectively restore grout to its original state. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Bucket
  • Oxygen bleach powder
  • Soft-bristled brush

      Add two tablespoons of oxygen bleach powder to one gallon of hot water. Mix the solution to dissolve the powder.

      Pour the solution directly onto grout so that the liquid level is flush with that of the tile.

      Leave the solution to set on the grout for 30 minutes.

      Use a soft-bristled brush to scrub out stains on the grout. Continually add more solution as the grout absorbs the liquid.

      Leave the solution on the grout for up to six hours to remove tough stains.

      Add one tablespoon of oxygen bleach powder to your mop water to keep grout looking new.
